What we're praying for this week.

It is important to remember that change is necessary for revolution. Nothing can get better if nothing changes.
Today, I want to pray over our people.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for your overwhelming grace and mercy on us. Thank You for the opportunities, people, and gifts You've given us. Thank You for everything you've kept from us. Thank You for loving each and every one of us as Your children.
God, please make our hearts adaptable to the change that is coming. Give us strength to accept the new things in our lives, take the stubbornness out of our hearts. We exist only at Your will, we are nothing without You. Whatever You have planned for us is far more important and greater than any plan we could make for ourselves. We think of Romans 8:18 -- suffering in the present moment is nothing compared to the joy that is coming. We are hopeful and accepting of Your great love and mercy-- we vow to use the love You give us to share with others, and restore their faith in Your goodness.
Lord, we are welcoming You with hands stretched out-- we reach for You because You are the only one worth reaching for. Bless our families with miraculous healing; cure their ailments, ease their pain, and prevent the sickness from hurting them. Cover them in Your protection, they shall not fear what comes next. Restore their faith. Restore their energy.
God, please protect our children as they start the new school year. May their education be steady and fulfilling, may their teachers be kind and patient, and their environments be safe and covered in a thick blanket of your protection. Whatever comes from this school year, let our students be better because of it. Make them curious and great at persevering. Let them detach the bad from the good, and let their eyes and hearts look to You for the ultimate guidance.
And with that, God, we ask that you bless us all. The change will make us better. We will get through this simply because of Your love. Thank you, Jesus,
In Jesus's name, Amen.
